Congratulations SpaceX

I wanted to wait until it was done, and now that Dragon has splashed down, I give a sigh of relief that SpaceX has done what so many "know-it-alls" said could not be done just a few years ago.  It's sad that in a world where amazing developments happen on a regular basis in the realm of science, engineering and technology, that we still have people who denounce bold visions and risky endeavors.

(I wonder what the blogosphere would have been like when two bicycle guys said they were going to build an airplane, and how many insulting Photoshopped pictures of them would be spread around as a way to mock what they were doing.)

For those who don't know, SpaceX is the first private company to send a logistics module to dock with the International Space Station.  That alone is a pretty big deal.  Add to it that SpaceX is also working on crewed spacecraft to send astronauts back and forth to the ISS, and we could have a serious 1/2 punch being provided by a non-government entity to advance the purpose of space exploration and development.

Consider punch 1 landed square on the jaw of negativity.  Good on you SpaceX.  Ad Astra, and keep pushing those boundaries...and putting the naysayers in their place.  ;)
