Global Cooling...Seriously, This is GREAT!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDqfXHjp-N0

I don't watch Bill O'Reilly on Fox News mainly because I'm knee deep in other things when he comes on, like working on my movie, book, or watching other shows with the family. However, by accident the other day, I ran across his show and saw this segment live. I was SO hoping it would find its way to Youtube, and it did. :) I love Youtube and people who post pretty much everything that's ever aired. lol.

Nothing is more dangerous to an environmentalist whacko than arming yourself with facts and proper data, not flamboyant speeches and unsubstantiated claims. The Climate Change (Global Warming) crowd is only after one thing, power and control over your life and how you live it. Period! No better way to get that power than to guilt trip and scare you into thinking you are personally damaging the planet, which none of us want to do by the way, in order to have you voluntarily give up personal freedoms and rights in some vain effort to "save the planet", because you don't want to be thought of as a planet killer, do you?

What a bunch of crap, and this simple segment on O'Reilly highlights it perfectly! :)

New lenses for electron microscopes and particularly telescopes could show the univesre in a different light.

I guess that carbon dating {-14 carbon isotope} will be dramatically improved with 'fresher' techniques and may actually help the 'worries' about planet war[*mn*]ing.

the conservation of matter. Where does the CO2 go? Billy O' is a very emotional man. The Earth was here for a long time and will be. Humans feel they need to live in garbage, they'll die off. The Earth will still be here and life goes on. You're a smart dude, don't buy into politics. We don't need to save the planet, but we don't need to contribute waste and pollution either. We're not bacteria in a petri dish eating up all the agar. and then what? our destiny is in the stars. Or maybe its just the bacteria in the gut of the man who steps on the Moon. Maybe the bacteria is using us as their space ships.

Anon - You need to read some of my previous posts on this topic. What you've just said is basically something I've said over and over. :) In fact, I have a whole part of my book (coming in a few weeks) dedicated to that very concept.

I think the same can be said for just about any group of people advocating something, but it is more fitting for religious groups (it doesn't matter what religious flavor) rather than environmentalists. And religious wackos (from Osama bin Laden to Pat Robertson) have had more deleterious effects on society as a whole than the environmentalists.

Andy - Wrong. I advocate for space, not to control people, but to give them MORE freedom. To give them the chance to explore beyond, to grow, to use space as a way to find a purpose for their life if they so choose.

But I do agree that religion and its perverse abusers have done more harm to this planet than any other organization has ever done.
